Semi Trailer Mechanic

Do you like to have your weekends off? Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc., has an immediate opening for an experienced Semi-trailer Mechanic in our Sioux Falls, South Dakota branch. No weekends are required! This is a great opportunity for the right person to work in an eight bay facility. We are looking for experienced mechanics with one or more years of experience (preferred). While experience is preferred, we are open to train individuals with the right skills and qualities. The right candidate can earn up to $30+ per hour.

Major job duties include:

• Servicing heavy duty trailers
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical and other defects
• Must have tools .

Basic knowledge and experience in welding steel and aluminum is needed. Industrial knowledge of air brakes, axles and suspensions is preferred. Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
